The traditional costume of Embonas is simple but impressive. It consists of: The white shirt, embroidered on the neck, sleeves and hem. The black cotton sleeveless dress has pleats with thin colored ribbons on the hem and neckline. The garment is completed with a red woolen belt, a colorful printed headband and leather boots (stivania). This is a fairly famous Rhodian costume and is widely used as a representative of the island.
